Wishlist Wednesday #3

Photobucket

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly blog hop post hosted by Pen to Paper in which we each write a post about a book that is on our wishlist.. either new or old it doesn't matter!

This week I've chosen Dead Until Dark from the True Blood collection by Charlaine Harris.

WHSmith Synopsis:

Sookie Stackhouse is a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. She's quiet, keeps to herself, and doesn't get out much - not because she's not pretty - she's a very cute bubbly blonde - or not interested in a social life. She really is ...but Sookie's got a bit of a disability. She can read minds. And that doesn't make her too dateable. And then along comes Bill: he's tall, he's dark and he's handsome - and Sookie can't 'hear' a word he's thinking. He's exactly the type of guy she's been waiting all her life for. But Bill has a disability of his own: he's fussy about his food, he doesn't like suntans and he's never around during the day ...Yep, Bill's a vampire. Worse than that, he hangs with a seriously creepy crowd, with a reputation for trouble - of the murderous kind. And then one of Sookie's colleagues at the bar is killed, and it's beginning to look like Sookie might be the next victim ...

I have constantly heard SO much good stuff about this book, literally about 99% of the people I know who have read it have raved about it and so I'm desperate to read it. I am literally obsessed with pretty much everything vampire related, so I know I will enjoy this book, there is no question! I am yet to own a hard copy but I have the first two books from the collection on my Kindle waiting to be read so I really hope I get round to them soon!

  1. A fantastic choice, even if I do say so myself. I ADORE Charlaine Harris. I'll be reading the 11th in this series over Christmas this year. They're a treat for me now because I don't want to get to the point where I have no more Charlaine left to read!! That will be a sad day!!

  2. I haven't read any Sookie books yet but they do have quite a following. I always imagine them being similar funwise to the Stephanie Plum series but I really won't know till I read one.

You can see my wishbook here.

  3. Good stuff! I think I kind of stopped reading around the 6th book in the series, but thoroughly enjoyed the first few. I definitely loved Sookie. And Bill! And Eric! And Sam! Oh dear... I think I may just have to start re-reading them again. Haha!

Oh, and I just saw that you're reading One Day. How are you finding it so far? I absolutely adore that book! It's only just come out at the cinemas here (so unfair!) so I'm off to see it tomorrow. Yay!
